Pentecostal Tabernacle requested a redesign of the layout and use of its site. Few church members or other interested parties knew of its existence, leaving it unused and out of date.
My team member, a marketing expert, helped flesh out the kinds of content that would primarily assist in building church community while also providing a means for others to gain familiarity with the church.
The design was the first I'd made using an XML / XSLT content management system. This allowed me to change the internal structure of each page immediately. Combined with CSS, I was able to create and refine several designs quickly, finally settling on one with the church's building, a classically steepled church, providing visual interest in the background.
Today, we receive feedback from all over about both the content and the look of the site.
This job is never quite done. There's always something more to be improved. I've taken to training instead of building it all on my own.
